Hmmmmmm

As I Get Older...........my needs become simpler, the world seems smaller, a day seems shorter, a year is a blip on the radar screen and the word fear is gradually becoming eradicated from my vocabulary and my emotions.........hmmmmm.

20-20 VISION

As I Get Older...........I realize that some things I thought were reaaaaallly  important, weren't very important at all.  The view looking back can be very different from the view looking ahead.  You know what they say about hindsight ........it's 20-20 vision.

BE YOUR OWN BEST FRIEND

As I Get Older..........I understand the value of being your own best friend. 
The characteristics that you seek in a friend are what you must FIRST develop in yourself.  The kind of friend you want is the kind of friend you must be to yourself. 
We're talking best friend, not colleague or associate but the one you can trust and rely on to show up and be fully present.  The one who is kind and understanding in the midst of confusion.  The one who tells you the truth in the kindest most loving way possible.  Be your own Best Friend

FEEL BETTER, DO BETTER, BE BETTER

As I Get Older......it occured to me that when you are going through "something",---- if you can feel better, you can do better.  If you can do better then you can be better and get through whatever, with a healthy attitude and an uplifted spirit.    I also realized that I am the only one who can help me to feel better. So I tell myself over and over the truth of my being........"I am a Child of the Most High God, Blessed and Highly Favored".  "If God be for Me, who can be against me?".  "No weapon formed against me shall prosper".  "All things work together for good for them that love the Lord and are called according to his purpose.". "In all things we are more than conquerors through him that loves us."

I cannot say all that and remain low in spirit.......can you?

GROWTH

As I Get Older..........the word growth takes on new meaning.  It reminds me that I'm not who I used to be, but I'm not who I'm going/growing to be either.  I intend to keep growing wiser as I grow older.  Like the mighty oak tree that grew from a wee acorn and each year sheds new acorns that other oaks might grow.  I see myself as a mighty oak that grew from the acorn shed by another mighty oak, and the thoughts, ideas and experiences that I share are the new acorns, free to all who care to gather. 
Let them that have eyes-----See.  Let them that have eyes---Hear.
